Recently Government of India launched UMANG App. This includes all Government related services. How to view EPF Passbook or withdraw EPF using Umang App?

Earlier EPFO started the facility of online EPF withdrawal option for all subscribers. I have already written the post on this (Ref-How to withdraw EPF and EPS online?). How to view EPF Passbook using Umang App?

Using the Uman App, you can view your passbook also. However, I found that there is no download option available in Umang App.

Beware of unofficial EPF Apps

There are some unofficial EPF Apps also which facilitate you to check EPF Balance, download passbook or check status. However, such Apps are not authorized by EPFO. Hence, you must know that which App is officially approved by EPFO or certified by EPFO.

When you look into Google Play store, then you will find many such apps available with different names and features. They are very popular also. However, I personally suggest use only those Apps which are recognized by EPFO.

The reason for caution is that, while using such unofficial EPF Apps, you unknowingly share your personal details which are vital. Also, we don’t know to what extent these Apps protect our personal data. Hence, it is always dangerous to share your personal data with such unofficial Apps.
