RAJESH PAI B
Rajesh-Thanks for your wishes and wishing you the same to you and your family. You are one of the dedicated followers of my blog and your each word meant a lot to me. Actually, I messed up with some other work. Surely will write it down on high priority.
Wow! I did not know this.
I found many equally important tricks/ tools listed, but unexplored.
I am sure I will visit this site often to explore and learn.
Thank you,
Anand
While this seems fine for those having feature phones, i would not recommend it for those who can download and install their Bank’s App, which works more seamlessly. Having been using my Banks’ Apps for years now, I tried this out of curiousity and due to frequent disconnection of network (though I am in a metro !!), I was charged Rs. 0.50 4 times for simply checking my Account Balance by Airtel. Hence, I feel I am better off using my Bank’s App, which works fine over 3G/4G network, than this MMID based feature.
Wonder how Govt expects “poor” people with feature phone to use this, when the Telecom Service Providers merrily charge for each ‘drop’ in connectiviy, which could be worse in rural areas.
Ramesh-I understand your frustration. But sometimes it is handy when you don’t have internet access.
Hi Sir
50 paise was charged in my Airtel Postpaid for using this service:(
Thought it free.
Nagendra-I never said it is free but depends on your telecom service provider. But it will be handy when you are unable to access the internet.
Gr8 information. Thanks for this…
Dharmesh-Thanks.
This is very Important Information. Most of the time we are stuck thinking that without internet we would not be able to access our bank balance. I have known some people sending petty amount via IMPS to know their account balance sounds crazy. But the above given way is good. Next time I shall use the above method hope it works with my Bank
Chintan-Great to know and thanks 🙂
