# Printing typ0 error in Rs.2000 notes

I don’t think many understand that rules and regulations related to currency notes will come under RBI policy and regulation. However, many pointed it at Central Government.

Rumors spread that there is a printing error in mentioning Rs.2000 in HINDI. They pointed that instead of printing as “DO HAZAR”, they wrongly printed as “DON HAZAR”. Refer below image.

Fake claim of Typo Error in Rs.2000 note

But the reality is different. the note carry the Hindi print also at a left-hand side. Along with that note also carries value mentioned in 15 regional languages. The DON HAZAR is related to regional languages of Konkani and Marathi.

You can definitely judge that how RBI differentiated Hindi (Our National Langauge) with regional languages for better understanding. But people never tried to cross check the reality. Spotted errors mindlessly and started to blame as there are some typo errors.

    1. But it is “Hazar” on the currency. Please capture a image of “Do Hazar” letter by your smart phone and check it by zooming image. You can find out the letter is “Ha” not “Ba”. Between “Ha” and “Ba” have a minute different only.
