Central KYC Registry or CKYCR will now replace the existing multiple KYC submission process while opening savings bank accounts, buying life insurance or investing in mutual fund products into one time centralized process.
The Government of India has authorized the Central Registry of Securitization and Asset Reconstruction and Security interest of India (CERSAI) to manage this Central KYC Registry process. From 1st August, 2016 this new process will be applicable to all individuals.
Hence, it is important for all individuals to know the contents of Central KYC Registry or CKYCR form. Also, you must aware of how to fill the form.
The beauty of this new form is that in the single form itself you will find the new KYC registration and modification feature. Also, the FATCA declaration is also available in same KYC form. As of now, you have to declare when you are investing. However, it is now made it mandatory of FATCA declaration while completing the KYC Process itself.
Even though it looks complicated to fill the newly launched Central KYC Registry (CKYCR) form, but in reality, it is too simple. To make it more comfortable for you, I created a video tutor. Please watch this below video before jumping into the filling of Central KYC Registry (CKYCR) form.

I had done CKYC IN April 2020 using Passport as proof of ID. A few days ago, I opened a Demat Account online with HDFC Securities and they have inadvertently created a new CKYC number for me using Aadhaar as ID. This new CKYC has name spelling error, as my PAN card name is spelt without a space ie. first name followed by surname with no space. and the name is repeated twice.
What can I possibly do to rectify this? Also my name is similarly wrongly spelt in this new online Demat Account.
Seems like technology is tripping itself up big time! I now have two CKYCs, which logically should not happen.
Dear Sanjay,
Let them use the old CKYC.

Dear Sir,
I am very new to investing in Mutual Funds. Please guide me. I live in Delhi.
I have 2 old mutual funds which I want to withdraw and start new investments in Mutual Funds SIP.
I found the CKYC form online but there is hardly any information regarding how/where to submit it. Can it be done online? If not, then where should I submit my application and documents.
Best,
Preeti-How can be you new investor when you already investing in two funds? If KYC is already completed, then why one more KYC?
Sir, it was done long back and was done through a friend working with Bajaj Capital at that point of time. Also it was much before CKYC was introduced.
Now I am clueless as to how to proceed. I want to get the CKYC done so that I am able to easily invest in different schemes online.
Preeti-Check status in CVLKRA, if KYC status showing as done, then that's enough to invest in MF.
No, it is not showing as done. But thanks anyway!
Preeti-Then how the AMC earlier allowed your investment??
Hi sir,

Does SBI process cKYC, for old customers?
Can I get cKYC number even if I do not have any plan to invest in near future? Can I just fill the form and submit it somewhere (where to submit?), without any new investment?
Sinha-Now CKYC is mandatory. Check with SBI.
After filling in the C-KYC form, whom should be sent it to? And how long does it take to get a number to me!
Sudhindra-Its around 4-5 days maximum (I hope so).

Agashe-Where you stuck?
If f there is no another address other than permanent address and details of related person then it is compulsary to submit annex A 1 and B1?
