Which Language Do You Speak?

I am fluent in Kannada, Hindi and English. Hence, I can interact with any of these three languages as per your comfort.

What Is The Mode Of Contact?

Our all meetings will be through online mode (preferably Google Meeting). However, if you are from Bangalore and willing to meet personally, then we can schedule physical meeting based on both of our convenient day and time.

Do You Work In The City Or Country Where I Reside?

I am currently located in Bangalore, India. However, with the advancement in connectivity like online meetings (audio and video) and email communication, we can easily connect across globe. Hence, distance is not a barrier in opting for service. I have existing clients across India and globe.

How Long Have You Been In This Industry?

I am in this industry since 15 years. However, to know more about my journey and achievements, you can refer “About Us” page.

Do You Advise On International Investments?

Yes. We recommend keeping 20% of your equity investments in international equity, for global diversification and protection against a falling rupee. We suggest only broad, low-cost global index funds, not individual foreign stocks. Along with your plan, we share a separate International Investment Guide that explains how to invest, the costs involved and the taxation.

Do You Offer Crypto Currency, Direct Equity Or Stocks Advice?

As I don’t research cryptocurrency or direct stocks, I do not advise on them. When it comes to equity, my recommendations revolve around equity mutual funds, mainly index funds.

Do You Advise On Real Estate And Gold?

Real Estate: I include real estate in your plan when you hold it for your own use, such as the house you live in. I don’t recommend buying property as an investment: it is not fully regulated, returns are hard to predict, and it is illiquid, as buying and selling take time and cost a lot.
REITs are a better way to invest in real estate. But most of their regular payouts are taxed at your income tax slab rate, which makes them tax-inefficient for most investors. The funds available today mix REITs with real estate company shares, so they are not pure REIT index funds. When a low-cost index fund that invests only in REITs is launched, we will review it and may include it in our recommendations.
Gold: Yes, in a limited way. Gold and silver are volatile in the short term, so we recommend them only for goals more than 6 years away and cap them at 10% of your total portfolio. We suggest ETFs or funds rather than physical gold. They help during high inflation, sharp market falls and a falling rupee.

Do You Review Our Existing Investment Portfolio And Insurance Products?

Yes, I do review of your existing portfolio and recommend you to align to your financial goals. After the review, I provide specific recommendations like continuing or stopping.

Do You Provide Income Tax Filing Service?

Tax Planning is a part of financial planning. However, I will not provide any tax filing kind of service. Even in case of tax planning, if I came across the complexity, then I suggest you to take the help of expert CA.

How Often Can I Connect With You?

Your plan is reviewed every year at renewal, with a short follow-up call every quarter. In between, if you have any doubts or questions, you can always reach out to me with prior intimation and a scheduled meeting. Also, if any product or strategy I suggested needs to change due to unforeseen circumstances, I will reach out to you with the changes.
