My salary is as follows: Basic 6000 Transport Allowance:1800 HRA:4200 Medical & Education Allowance 2100 Other Allowance:1100 Total Salary 15200. Do I fall out of the compulsory ceiling limit of Rs 15000/- pm. If not what will be the minimum EPF deduction applicable.
For EPF calculation your Gross Salary will not come into picture. It will be only your Basic+DA. If DA is not part of your salary, then only basic. So in your case basic is Rs.6,000. So it is 12% of Rs.6,000 i.e Rs.720 as your contribution towards EPF. You can’t opt out of EPF.
But other allowances can be counted as part of Dearness allowance or not. If I don’t want the deduction what is the way.
Mukul-Your other allowance will not be part of either DA or salary. So you have no option but to be part of EPF.
Here I want to know more about deduction of EPF from salary,
I am not getting the EPF deduction benefit as I am permanent employee of the Employer. My CTC is 5L+ & I am working with the employer since 8 years but employer is not deducting my EPF,as he is not enrolling me in to EPF contribution scheme. As I seen the blogs over here, When I admit him to deduct my PF he is saying me the rule that has been implemented by the Govt. as if ur salary is more than 15K then its on employer that wheather to deduct PF or not.
Plz help me in my case what should I do to do contribution in EPF sceme to serve the retirment life
