Hi Basu – I have 2 EPF accounts from 2 diff companies and from both the companies I have PF deductions. One company I have been working for a long time and the other which I joined recently. My recently joined second company created a PF account for me with the help of the UAN provided by the first company. Now, with the help of UAN eSEWA login, I am able to see both the PF accounts under one UAN.
Also, my recently joined company issued one more UAN but this UAN I am unable to know the status or activate since it says “member name does not match with the available data.” Will this be an issue without activation? Will these 2 PF deductions create any problem for me from any of the 2 companies? Also, under KYC Aadhar, it shows “Verify.” Do I need to do anything on this? Please provide your thoughts on this.
When your new employer created the new EPF under OLD UAN, then why they created one more new UAN? Let them request EPFO for the merger of the both.
The 2 accounts are already showing under 1 UAN (provided by old company) in service history when i login using eSEWA login UAN. Does it mean these 2 accounts are already merged? The new UAN, I am unable to activate it, since it says member name does not match with the available data. It should be noted that PF deduction is happening from 2 employers (working for 2 companies). since the 2 accounts are showing under 1 old UAN, will it be a problem?
If both accounts showing under one UAN (whether old or new), then you no need to worry. Just try to deactivate the second new UAN.
Thank you for the reply. Next I wanted to ask is, can we have 2 PF deductions happening from 2 employers? Is it legal to work for 2 companies at the same time?
