Hi Mr.Basu good morning,
Right now I am investing Rs.4000/ as sip in SBI PHARMA (equity sector fund) from the past 15months. Should I continue in the same fund or shall I split and distribute equally for another sector fund namely UTI TRANSPORTATION & LOGISTIC FUND as SBI pharma is not performing well for the past one yr. Sector fund contributes to 4.6% of my portfolio. Pl suggests me.
What prompted you to choose this fund (especially this sector)? You claim that you have exposure of sector funds around 4.6% of your portfolio. However, whether you checked portfolio overlap from diversified to sector funds?
Judging the fund with mere one year is not a good idea especially for long term investors. Also, in case of sector funds volatility is higher.
