First of all – would like to congratulate and thank you for an impressive blog full of advice on all aspects of financial planning. Are you planning to write any piece for post demonetization long term investments – may be sector wise ?
My bank advisor is suggesting to invest about 10 lacs in ICICI Value fund series 10 and Reliance Dual Advantage Fund Sr X-Plan D as those would hopefully mitigate the demonetization effects.
About me : I am a passive investor with a good amount of risk appetite. I don’t have any immediate need of money so the above investment can stay for long term (even beyond 5 years).
Thanks for your advice.
I am bullish as usual on equity. Never follow these so called BANKERS who sit to sell with one reason or another reason. So calm down, avoid any such news events or jerks. This is the way to WIN in equity rather than switching or investing based on so-called SELLERS advice.
Thanks. So are you suggesting to wait or I can invest in equity based? Any specific recommendations for a horizon of 5 yrs?
I am not saying you to wait. But keep investing without bothering such news based events. I personally stay away from equity if my time horizon is around 5 years.
Got that. Thanks. Am not investing due to demonetization as all will get balanced out in long term. Any + or – advice for these two NFOs I mentioned above? Thanks
Always keep in mind that NFOs are meant for income generation schemes to agents, bankers or middlemen. Hence, never try to invest. AMCs need fund. So they generate new products in new name with new theme. That’s it.
Demonetization affects a lot. There are several up and downs that we saw because of the same and investing money after this can be a daunting one. You don’t know which is the right platform to go for then it would be better for you to visit Tradebulls which is an online portal and can assist you a lot.
