My age 27 with an annual income of 7.5L. I have invested my 81K like below from last 1 year . Only thing is that small and midcap missing in my portfolio. Reliance Equity is diversified fund.
Can I go ahead to stop this Reliance and start UTI Opportunities fund?
If I have 100rs, how to distribute % among following funds?
- Axis Long Term Equity(G) — 18.37%
- Franklin India Bluechip Fund(G) — 28.97%
- HDFC Balanced(G) — 24.39%
- Reliance Equity Opportunities(G) — 28.28%
Brahma-What is your time frame of this investment? I suggest HDFC Midcap Opp Fund or Franklin Prima over Reliance.
Balanced – 10 years , LargeCap – 15 years, Small and Midcap – 20years, ELSS – 7+ years
For 10 years, a balanced fund is perfect. However, for more than that period, you must have large cap, small and mid cap too. You can’t differentiate the funds based on time frame (especially when investment is for long term). Hence, I suggest for both 15 years and 20 years, you must include one large cap and one small and mid cap).
At present i don't have any goal plan(small and midcap — retirement). How to distribute 100% among above funds?
Brahma-I am again insisting you, let us say your retirement goal. It must contain all types of funds for investment. Don’t chose a single small and mid cap for retirement or large cap for kid’s education. Each goal must be blended with all categories of funds.
got it Sir.. Thank You 🙂
