Thanks for providing this beautiful forum where we can ask our queries.
I have one query related to mutual fund I am investing. Currently I am investing in below mutual funds.
- Axis long term equity fund – growth ( 2k from past 3 years)
- Birla sun life monthly income plan – wealth II – 3k per month
- Birla sun life frontline equity fund – 3k
May I know if these are ok to proceed ? Also, I want to invests extra 2k per month. I guess I have to invest in midcap fund to complete my portfolio.
Or any other advise which you like to give.
Mittal-You continue both Axis and Birla Frontline Funds. But I am unable to understand about Birla debt fund. Why you selected this fund? Yes, you have to include one small and mid cap fund. But do remember to invest only if your goal is more than 5+ years. Also, don’t invest all 100% of your investable surplus in equity. Instead create the portfolio like debt:equity in the ratios of around 40:60.
Gr8 sir, thanks for the reply. I actually searched on internet and came to know this is the good debt fund so I choose that. May I know if I should continue that or not ? Also returns so far from this fund is almost ~1% till now. 🙂 . Also As my budjet in MF is 10k so as per your comment I should invest 6k in equity and 4k in debt. So I guess I have debt fund in place. I still have 2k left and I want to invest in MF in mid cap . Could you also suggest on good mid cap fund and yes my time frame is 5+ years. Thanks again for your reply sir.
Mittal-You have enough risk or volatility from equity. So come out of this fund and invest in short term debt fund. You can go with HDFC Midcap Opp or Franklin Prima Fund.
