I have lost the FD receipt of a co-operative Bank. FD was done in the year 2016. Bank said FD is there come on maturity date, and they will let know the process however upon approaching them after maturity they denied having any such FD. Is it possible they have deleted the records for the sake of fraud. Is there anyway possible I can prove the existence of FD and claim the amount. Please help. FD is of a big amount.
Sir/ma’am, I don’t have much knowledge in co- operative bank but I can tell you my experience. I applied for release of Deceased Inheritance fund to U.K bank, which is depoisted by my cousin brother, they have approved to transfer the fund to India. And I hope you will get your fund after maturity of your FD. They can’t take a one rupees from your FD, if you didn’t claimed your FD after maturity then your FD will go to national treasury, so there is no use for bankers. They are telling you to wait up to maturity of your FD because they are invested your FD. That’s why they are telling you wait till the maturity date…..
Hard to believe these Co-Operative Banks. You request them to search randomly for the year and a month of your booked FD. If they not budge, then let them give in writing that no such FD is available with them.
