Hi, am working in a PVT. Ltd. company from almost 1 and half year and receiving my regular salary in all month without my salary CTC information but from this month they started deducting pf in which they deducted EPF employee, EPF employer and gratuity all from my net take home salary i.e. Rs.26400. When I called my account team to ask this they simply said this mandatory part of your salary, I agreed on that but where is the rule that without intimation how can a company can deduct EPF amount when there is no CTC salary, even they had all the parts of EPF from my salary why should I pay employer part contribution ? I also said that if u are deducting EPF employer part from my salary than am not ready to pay EPF employ part and as per EPF rule employ can decide whether they could contribute or no. Please suggest is am I right or wrong ?
If your company employees strength is more than 20 and your salary (Basic+DA) is less than Rs.15,000 a month, then you must be a member of EPF. Also, if your employer showing their contribution also in your CTC, then there is no wrong.
Once you are eligible for EPF, then the contribution must be from both employer and employee.
