I am little confused. Request your help.
I am heavily invested in Mid cap and hence in order to balance this out i am looking for large caps with large cap allocation over 85% to 90%. I am also inclined to select a fund with decent cash reserves and low or nil investment in Technology sector.
I am inclined to the following. Could you please advise on below. please feel free add any further funds.
JM Multi strategy fund – Poor past record but decent last 3 yrs record. Low AUM.
Motilal Focussed 25 – less than 80%, Strong performance, no technology sector. Decent cash reserves.
ICICI focused Bluechip – Strong performer. High AUM is negative. 7% technology focus.
Mirae Asset India opportunity fund. – Strong performer, 5% in technology, Decent AUM.
Without knowing time horizon, asset allocation you did and how you shortlisted the funds, it is hard for me to guide.
Thanks for your response.
Time Horizon > 10 years
Current allocation in equity is as follows.
Large Caps – 52%
Mid Cap – 34%
Small caps – 14%
Equity vs Debt ratio – 89 : 11
Please let me know I should add any further information. Thanks in advance.
Stick to either 60:40 or 50:50 debt to equity allocation.
Thanks for answering this.
Please also suggest a Large cap heavy (>85%) mutual fund to balance the same.
Asset allocation between debt and equity should be either 60:40 or 50:50. In equity, 60% in large cap, 30% in mid cap and 10% in small cap.
