I have left a private job after 6 years of service and I have joined government organization where there is no PF facility. I want to withdraw my EPF amount but in the withdrawal form it says I can only withdraw if I am unemployed. Can anybody offer some clarity regarding this ?
As per the rule, if you are employed somewhere, then you are not allowed to withdraw. Hence, you have now two options. Either to retain it till your retirement age or withdraw (as your current employer not providing that).
Thanks but the question here remains that what reason should I choose in the withdrawal form? There are only 3 available to choose from
1. Permanent and total disablement
2. Permanent migration from India
3. Unemployed for more than 2 months
First two are obviously not applicable to me. Third one is also not correct as I am employed but within an organization which does not provide EPF subscription.
So is it legal to choose the 3rd option in my case.
Can i withdraw my pf amount in online when my reason of leaving service is cessation (short service)updated?
If your employer entered the exit date, then no issues to withdraw it online.
