I want to invest in Mutual funds and start an SIP Mutual Funds online. So, please suggest how to go about it.
Should I opt for an AMC (like Prudent) or FundsIndia or is there any other option?
Rahul-If you are first-time investor then you have to complete the KYC process (whichever option you chose). Going through FundsIndia is like investing through an adviser. But if you have patiency and time to manage on your own, then visit individual mutual fund companies, start investing. Once the folio generated then using their online platform, you can invest further online. Direct to mutual fund companies is DIRECT option and no middlemen involved here. Cost effective, but managing will be on your own.
Hence, think about your exposure towards mutual funds and then decide.
Basu, If i invest it through a person who is directly from a HDFC bank, then is it called “Direct to mutual fund companies is DIRECT option and no middlemen involved here” as what you mentioned? If i go through financial advisor or direct bank or icici demat, which will be cost effective?
For your information, HDFC Bank, ICICI Demat or ANY BANK are also MIDDLEMEN. The only option currently you have to invest in DIRECT is to visit respective AMCs and start investing in DIRECT.
