My wife was working with a PSU from 19th Dec 2015 till 18th Dec 2017 under fix term contract with no extension. Further, due to pregnancy she decided not to further look for jobs. She withdrew EPF around May 2018 and TDS was deducted.
Can she claim exclusion of EPF income under criteria “if, though he has not rendered such continuous service, the service has been terminated by reason of the employee’s ill-health, or by the contraction or discontinuance of the employer’s business or other cause beyond the control of the employee, or”, since her termination of her job was beyond her control.
If yes how to claim the same in current year ITR.
