My date of joining and leaving EPF and EPS exactly covers period of five months. Now I am filing claim of PF and EPS My Question is will I get EPS amount according to schedule D for One Year If so, whether the balance of EPS will get after the age of 50. Or whether I will not receive any amount of EPS as period is less than six months and the same will be credited to Govt. Treasury and or will receive only If I work with some other organization and provide this UAN number itself to them so that my service period will add in this UAN only and after which I can claim and get amount as per schedule D
As your service period is less than 6 months, you are not allowed to withdraw EPS. Even though it is more but less than 10 years means you can only withdraw part of it. Yes, the rest of the amount will never be given back to you (even after 50 years of your age).
If your work is less than 6 months, either you have to forgo the EPS or whenever you join a new company, then you can use the same EPF account to continue the benefits.
I left a company on July 2017, after working for 7 years and joined another and now I am working for 2 years with new company; however, I did not withdraw EPF/EPS of previous company yet which is in my UAN under different member ID.
Now I have raised a claim to transfer the previous EPF/EPS to my current EPF a/c online. My question is, can I withdraw my EPF/EPS amount of my previous employer now and if yes what is the the procedure to the same and how much can I withdraw?
