My salary in the appointment letter is 52, 000 CTC and break up of the salary is in the form of [CTC=52,000 which includes [Total=50, 200 (Basic, DA, HRA, Transport allwance, medical reiumbursement, special allowance)+EPF(1800)]. now the company is deducting 1800 from CTC for EPF and 1800 from Total as well. Is it legal? if not How do i go about it? How do i claim that it should not be deducted?
If they are showing both employer and employee part in CTC then there is no harm or illegality.
My company is deducting 24% of my Basic Salary + Other allowances. Is it correct?
and what about EPS. How can I check that as I can only see 15.67% has been deposited to EPF account and they are saying that the remaining amount is been deposited in EPS account.
If 24% is showing in your CTC then your employer is correct. EPS will be part of total 24%.
Sir, the salary break up is as follows:
Transport allowance- 800
If, i consider my salary to be 52,000 my epf is deducted twice 52000-1800=50,200 and 50,200-1800= 48,400. So, my in hand salary is 48, 400. Kindly clarify as they are showing only one part in appointment letter and one in salary slip as well.
