In my career I have worked with 3 organizations from 2008 to 2017, less than 10 years. Currently I am not working. My query is related to my 2nd Org EPF account which is settled but still has some money in it.
First Org – Aug 2008 to Apr 2010, maintained by trust, Length of Service approx 1 year 8 months
Second Org – Apr 2010 to July 2011, RPFC Bangalore, Length of Service approx 1 year 4 months
Third Org – Aug 2011 to Nov 2017. RPFC Gurgaon, Length of Service approx 6 years 3 months
I have always transferred my EPF account fund and have never withdrawn it.
EPF transfer from 2nd Org to 3rd Org took place in 2012. and shows the Member ID of my 2nd EPF account is settled.
Due to some glitch my 1st Org EPF account got transferred into my 2nd EPF account in 2014 even though it was settled at that time.
Now I want to get my money from my 2nd EPF account and 3rd EPF account.
What is the best of getting this done. What are the tax considerations to keep in mind?
options that popped up in my mind are –
- Transfer 2nd Epf accnt fund to 3rd EPF acnt first and withdraw the whole amount from 3rd account.
Question – Is this transfer possible when my 2nd EPF member status is settled?
2. Withdraw the EPF fund from 2nd and 3rd Org separately.
Better to withdraw separately.

Claim Form-31 (EPF Advance)(Illness) Claim id-CBCBE181050010410 Member id-CBCBE00289570000015062 has been settled. Payment sent on- 29-OCT-18 via NEFT. But amount not credited
