I have changed my job in last 3 months . I had EPF account linked to UAN with previous employer and I have provided same UAN to my new employer . I can see now two EPF accounts when I login to EPFO portal and I can also see two separate passbooks . I would like to confirm about do I need to do something to get amount transferred from previous account to the new account created by new employer . Or will there be two separate accounts always maintained for me under same UAN and the interest will be paid on both accounts ?
How exactly PF transfer happens when both accounts are under same UAN ?
You no need to do anything. Whenever you change job, just quote your UAN number.
Okay , Thanks . Just to clarify so will there be separate EPF accounts always maintained for each employer or they will automatically merge them into single i,e the latest employer account so that when I will withdraw it will have to be withdrawn from only latest employer account .
Whether they merge or create one more, you just make sure that all are under single UAN and your UAN is fully KYC complied.
Last week I received SMS from PFO “Your UAN is linked to more than one account . You are requested to transfer them to your present account by online or physical application “
I was under impression that as both accounts are linked to same UAN , I will not have to do anything explicitly for transfer but now after this message it seems to be different case .Please advise .
