Hi Sir, As per the url : http://www.hdfcfund.com/calculators/sip, It says: Investing 1K each month for 24 months (INR 24,000) yields an earnings of INR 2667.31 giving a total amount of INR26,667.31 at the end of 2yrs with 10% expected interest rate. AND Investing 1K Quarterly for 2yrs (a total investment of INR 24,000.00) yields an earnings of INR 9250.34 giving a total amount of INR33,250.34 at the end of 2yrs with 10% expected interest rate. Is this TRUE..?? Also, is this a better practice to invest quarterly rather doing it monthly..??
They may be designed such calculators to sell SIP. But keep in mind the basics. NEVER ENTER EQUITY if your time horizon is less than 5 years.
Hi Sir, Thanks for those…Well noted. However, is there a way, that u can make it still simpler and understandable by all taking few examples if you can please.
So, do you mean, the fugues shown here are not the exact ones and you suggest not to go for Quarterly which doesn’t fetch a good return than the monthly one..??
