Sir I am a regular reader of your blog. After reading your articles I started investing in SIP.I have a question. My age is 27. I want to build a corpus of about 30 lakhs after 20 years. I am a banker. I have health insurance & term insurance. I am investing in SIP at FRANKLIN INDIA BLUESHIP FUND-GROWTH & FRANKLIN INDIA PRIMA FUND Rs 500 each. i want to increase the amount in order to achieve my goal. Please suggest how much extra amount I have to invest in SIP. I have a ppf ac where I invest Rs 1000 pm.
Whether you want to consider the above existing two funds for future investments?
yes sir. I want to consider the above two funds for future investments.
If we consider time as 20 years and return from your portfolio (not from equity funds alone) as 10%, then you need invest around Rs.4,000 per month. In this, I suggest you to choose these funds for Rs.1,500 each. Remaining Rs.1,000 be invested in PPF or Short Term debt fund.
Thanks lot Sir for your valuable suggestion. Would u please suggest some short term debt fund.
Bikash-You can use funds like Franklin India Low Duration or HDFC PSU Banking.
Thanks a lot Basu Sir
Sir can i use HDFC BALANCED FUND as short term debt fund?
