Hello Sir
Thank u so much for such a wonderful blog.
I m 30yrs old n my investment time period is 15years.
I m doing 3sips
1. Franklin blue chip equity growth – 2000
2. Franklin smaller companies fund – 3500
3. Franklin Prima fund – 1500
4. Hdfc mid cap – 50,000 I invested in lump sum last month.
PPF – approx 60,000 per year.
Post office recurring deposit – 2500pm
I m investing in post office savings from 2yrs 4month. I m planning to partially withdraw 50% n put it in mutual funds.
Is it a good idea?
Also are the fund choices good.
Why two Mid Cap Funds (HDFC and Franklin Prima)? One is enough. Second thing, do the asset allocation between these funds to PPF in the ratio of 30:70.
I am not sure why you started Post Office RD and now want to withdraw partially. However, if the asset allocation is proper between equity funds and PPF, then withdraw from this RD and can invest in same funds.
