Hello sir we are a startup company and we are currently 15 people, out of which 2-3 people have salary less than 15000 and others have more than 15000. I want to know who all are eligible for esi and who all for pf. Also can someone be eligible for esi and pf both? and probably some link where all this is easily clarified
I am not an expert in ESI. But as per EPF, if employees strength is 20 or more than that, then they are eligible for EPF. Even if employees strength is less than 20 and if employer need to be registered with EPF, then he can offer this facility to his employees.
For those whose salary (Basic+DA) is more than Rs.15,000 and if they want to stay away from EPF, then they can opt out. But it is purely employees decision to stay away. Employees whose salary is below Rs.15,000 will be naturally be eligible for EPF.
