Without knowing your financial goals, it is hard for me to guide.
Retirement and daughter education . I am now 37 yrs old . My daughter 3 years old .
First diversify between debt and equity. For your goal, I suggest 30:70 in debt:equity. In debt, if tenure matches then use PPF. Otherwise, use short term or ultra short term debt funds (like HDFC PSU Banking Fund). In equity instead of opting for multi cap fund (HDFC Capital Builder), I suggest one pure large cap (like Franklin India Bluechip or Birla Sunlife Frontline Equity) and one mid cap fund like the you already investing. These two funds are enough.
However, if your concern is to save tax, then you continue the same Axis fund for tax saving. But make sure the equity to debt ratio all time.
