I am In vesting Rs. 3000/month through SIO in ICICI Pru Value Discovery Fund. Now NAV has come down to Rs.110/. Is it right to invest Rs.30000/ as lumsum in the same fund or sip is sufficient?
I mean to ask, is there any worth in investing lumsum in this fund? Is this fund has potential to grow over a period of time? Please suggest me sir.
Kasudheer-How you can say that this fund is already DOWN or HIGH? What if it further falls from this level? It is wrong to time the market. Also, there is no such study which proves that we actually beat the returns of regular SIP by timing the market. Instead, I suggest you to stick to SIP. Regarding the lump sum investment at this juncture, I suggest you to go ahead only if this is long term (no matter at what price the units are available or how the market is). However, when you are doing lump sum, keep in mind that the tenure you want to invest, proper debt:equity asset allocation, continues review and staying invested for long term.
